The Opportunity

Due to continued growth across our Infrastructure division, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure and energy projects across the North West.

Working across high-profile capital investment programmes, you will play a key role in supporting commercial and cost management activities across complex infrastructure schemes including utilities, energy transmission, civil engineering and infrastructure upgrade projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on nationally significant programmes that support renewable energy integration, infrastructure resilience and long-term economic growth across the UK.

You will work closely with Tier 1 contractors, engineers, programme controls teams and key client stakeholders, providing commercial expertise and NEC contract support across multiple project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support commercial and cost management activities across major infrastructure projects
  • Administer NEC3 / NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and change control
  • Prepare cost plans, valuations, forecasts and financial reporting
  • Monitor project expenditure, risk, cash flow and budget performance
  • Support procurement activities, tender analysis and contract reviews
  • Liaise with contractors, clients and internal teams to ensure commercial compliance and reporting standards are achieved
  • Contribute to value engineering and risk management initiatives
  • Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate

About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities, energy or major civil engineering environments
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts and commercial management practices
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or capital delivery programmes
  • Strong commercial awareness, analytical capability and attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management

Desirable

  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
  • Experience within power, utilities or transmission infrastructure projects
