Infrastructure Consultancy:
Clean can be frustratingly complex. Managing the energy transition and bringing new, renewable sources online means combining advanced technologies and complex financial arrangements with the more familiar challenges of project delivery, supply chain management and cost control.
It’s a new world that not every construction consultancy is familiar with.
And yet, with 2050 still the target for UK net zero and hundreds of energy transition projects underway across the UK, the public and private sector has never had a greater need for construction consultancy with renewables and energy transition experience. That’s what we bring.
We Deliver
From tendering to commercial management to dispute resolution, we’re applying the full breadth of Walker Sime’s infrastructure capabilities to renewables projects across the UK. At the HZI Severnside EfW plant in Bristol, our strategic programming and dispute resolution services helped the plant reach completion and begin diverting London’s waste away from landfill.
We led the development of the tender packages, tender assessment, target cost agreement and post-contract commercial management for Peel Ports’ biomass storage facility at the Port of Liverpool. And we’re delivering project lifecycle commercial management services to United Utilities Water, supporting a programme of renewable energies (such as a floating solar farm) to reduce their carbon footprint.
