Celebrating Our Superstars: Announcing the January 2025 Promotions

At Walker Sime, we’re big on people. We’re a people business through and through and enjoy spotting and recognising talent, celebrating our people, and watching them grow. This January, we’re delighted to shine a well-deserved spotlight on four brilliant individuals who have stepped up into new roles.

These promotions are about more than just new job titles – they’re about recognising individuals and the difference they bring. We’re small enough to know our people well but big enough to give them incredible opportunities, and that balance is what makes our culture so special.

Caroline Rennie, our Director of People and Culture, announced the promotions saying, “Promoting from within is one of the best parts of my job. It makes me so proud to see our people thrive, and to recognise the efforts of the wonderful people we employ. These four superstars have absolutely earned their moment. Massive congratulations – very well deserved!”

We know that behind every promotion is a story of rolling up their sleeves, embracing challenges, and bringing their best selves to everything they do. Here’s a little more about our newly promoted quartet.

 

Jonathan Masters – Promoted to Associate Director, Project Management

Jonathan joined Walker Sime after two decades as a Director in the property development sector swapping the world of property development for the dynamic, fast-paced consultancy life – and he’s never looked back. He’s been at the heart of some seriously high-profile projects, including the ambitious Stockport 8 residential development, where his attention to detail and expert leadership shine through. He is deeply committed to quality service and client satisfaction, and his promotion reinforces his dedication to excellence.

“It’s wonderful to be recognised for what I have achieved on my Walker Sime journey so far. Already, I look forward to every working day, and this promotion gives me the pep to continue moving forward with enthusiasm. My focus will remain on delivering high-quality service, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving repeat business through exceptional performance.”

 

Charlie Chu – Promoted to Associate Director, Project Management

Since joining in 2018, Charlie has been instrumental in delivering major regeneration projects and building rock-solid client relationships. He’s a go-to person for his team, known for his commitment, positivity, and ability to bring people together. His promotion is a reflection of his unwavering commitment to both the company and our clients. Charlie is excited about the journey ahead.

Georgina Geraghty – Promoted to Principal Project Manager

With a background in architecture spanning 15 years, including four years as an Associate Director, Georgina has been a valuable member of the Walker Sime team since 2019. She has played a key role in the commercial and leisure sectors, working with clients including former Olympians on specialist leisure centre projects.

Currently, Georgina leads the consultant and contractor teams on the OnSide Youth Zone projects, overseeing seven schemes nationwide with a combined value of £80 million.

“Walker Sime has been such a huge part of my professional journey, and I’m excited to keep growing in my new role. I love the variety, the people, and the projects – and I look forward to continuing that journey as Principal Project Manager.”

 

Zoe Temperton – Promoted to Principal Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure)

Zoe has had an inspiring journey at Walker Sime, working on pioneering projects alongside an incredible team. She’s worked on game-changing projects and is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement. Her enthusiasm for learning and development has made a real impact, and her promotion to Principal QS is a well-earned achievement.

“It means a lot to see my efforts recognised, and it’s a big step in my personal and professional growth. I’m excited to take on new challenges, collaborate more closely with our clients, and help shape the direction of our projects.”
